![]() ![]() Grade: D+ The show means well in general but is too repetitive and doesn’t seem to offer characters likable enough to make people want to watch it regularly. You’ll like it if: You’re raising siblings who often need to be reminded to get along with each other, which is the main lesson of the show, and you don’t mind redundant plotlines. Perhaps really young children would be entertained by seeing a couple of reasonably well-illustrated bunnies doing human things, but the characters and stories aren’t nearly dynamic enough to hold much other interest. On the bright side, the episodes wrap up happily with Ruby realizing that, though he vexes her sometimes, family bonds transcend all else.Īrius was none too impressed either, and I don’t blame him. Ruby was learning how to paint, preparing to throw a fancy dress party or do some other seemingly admirable activity but then Max would become a nuisance, she would lecture him and things just went downhill from there. Morris wanted to play with all of Max's toys, and not share, but they eventually became friends when they started shooting Jelly Balls at the banner Ruby and Louise were making. No, instead every episode we watched was the same plot over and over. Morris and Max became friends during this episode, called 'Max Meets Morris' when Ruby and Louise were making a Bunny Scout banner. ![]() I’d like to say there’s something charming about their relationship, or the writing or the voice acting, but that would be a stretch. ![]() Ruby is the older sister who seems to go into aren’t-I-a-grownup know-it-all mode only to be deflated by the oft-annoying escapades of her little brother Max. show fortunately isn’t the annoying dumpster fire that is Caillou, Max and Ruby is essentially a one-note show about rabbit siblings. Many toddler TV shows are marked by likable characters, clever teaching moments and enjoyable narratives. ![]()
